The world leader in advanced memory technology has begun producing the industry's first 1TB embedded Universal Flash Storage (eUFS) for the next generation of smartphones. It'll mean that smartphones can finally catch up to desktop computers in terms of storage.
"Smartphone users will now be able to store 260 10-minute videos in 4K UHD (3840x2160) format."
It also has a speed of up to 1,000 megabytes per second, approximately twice the sequential read speed of normal 2.5 inch solid state drives and faster than its 512GB predecessor. This means 10GB-sized full HD videos can be transferred in as little as 10 seconds.
Samsung has also enjoyed record profits for the past two years due to insanely high demand for their memory chips but profits fell in the last quarter of 2018 due to lower demand ZDNet reports.
